The vision for Bloomington Downs more than 30 years ago was to be the place in Richmond Hills and the Greater Toronto area where anyone interested in golf would have the opportunity to gather, play and share their passion for the game with others.
Since the start of the golf season in 1989, fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, grandparents and grandchildren, and foursome of friends have done just that on our Robert Heaslip-designed golf course.
The layout of our 6,442-yard, par 72 course emphasizes challenge, fun and enjoyment. Whether you are a novice or single digit handicap player, you’ll face a variety of subtle challenges that demand artful shots and skillful execution to navigate the course at level par.
Bloomington Downs features wide open, tree-lined fairways along with several elevated greens and water on four holes. Our signature hole is #6, a 540-yard par 5 that can be a birdie hole with a properly placed drive and solid second shot.
For many, including our Head Golf Professional Bill Athan, #18 is the favorite. The 455-yard, 5 par is a classic risk/reward hole featuring a dogleg left that plays to a slightly downhill landing area then up the hill to the crown of the green. Depending on the line you take off the tee, you’ll have a second shot between 150-220 yards. From there a short iron in leaves you a good chance to end the round on a high note with a closing birdie.
Bloomington Downs also offers a fully-stock Golf Shop featuring the latest in men’s and women’s golf apparel and footwear along with a selection of balls, gloves and more.

More Challenge, More Fun is Coming
When it comes to the golf course, our team is dedicated to two things: The condition of the golf course and the quality of your experience.
Never a company to rest on its laurels, Bloomington Downs is always looking at how to improve your experience. Over the next two years, we’ll be updating the golf course to lengthen some holes, trim and remove trees, add junior tees and reconfigure several bunkers.
It’s our way to elevate the fun and enjoyment we want you to have, when you visit us at what we want you to make, your own home golf club.
